Jachin or even Jakin (יָכִין, Standard Hebrew Yaḫin, Tiberian Hebrew Yāḵîn) was the title of the southern of the 2 pillars that stood on the eastern porch or even entrance prior to Solomon's Temple, the first temple in Jerusalem (1 Kings 7:21; 2 Kings 11:14; 23:3). A northern pillar was known as Boaz. A capitals on top of the columns were in the shape of lilies.
